Thanks lads, managed to get the heartrate up this time as well David Furlong (not by much though!!)

I'm delighted for you that you won the Sam & Betty Darcy Pat, purely out of respect to you I don't think I'll be contesting the victory there this year myself :D
Taking what you said on board though, this is what's on the menu for breakfast tomorrow: http://www.thesufferfest.com/video-suff ... /violator/
Haven't tried it yet, hopefully won't fall off me bike!

Seriously though lads, these races are €5 a pop after you have your licence, if you thought that you might race a few have a look at the details I posted at the start of the thread. Club competition is the cheapest, you'd be fine for the league races like last night just not the open races the likes of the Frank O'Rourke or the Sam & Betty Darcy.

Its getting the jersey out there and it's great craic, plus we all have road bikes so no need to be spending money there. And the lads racing are a sound bunch too.
Go on, give it a shot.

I wont be in Enniscorthy tonight, but I will hopefully be back in Gorey next Tuesday.

Patsy may be relieved to hear that I wont be threatening his "I won the Sam & Betty Darcy" title
The race has been cancelled which is very disappointing
Rumour has it that Barrow Wheelers may reschedule their Barrow GP to hold it on the 31st May, as they had previously cancelled their race, hopefully this proves true
Any insight there Patsy?

Final night of the slipstream league tonight.
Good race, got stuck in a few times. Really felt good going round the last roundabout heading for home when two SERC lads came together in front of me and I couldn't avoid but went straight into them. I'm grand and bike seems ok thankfully. Four of us down in total which was lucky because it was high speed and a big group and we had just started another surge.
Dessie from Barrow Wheelers came through ok, just a broken bottle cage. Andy and Garrett from SERC faired the worst of the four of us with road rash and bad looking knocks.
Thankfully doesn't look like any broken bones and Dessie and me were able to ride our bikes away.
Lesson for the night, don't be putting anything hard on your back pockets (I'm looking at you David Furlong for one). The only thing I had was a banana thankfully, a pump or a multi tool and I would probably be in an awful lot of pain right now.
Banana squash anyone?

good stuff John, a little bit of road rash would have been a badge of honour!
